The third issue of the 6 coin Series ‘Polar Lights’ is dedicated to the northern town Churchill in Manitoba, Canada. Churchill is far from any other towns or cities and located in the border area of two nature zones – the boreal coniferous forest region and the arctic tundra landscape. Churchill Town is most famous for the numerous polar bears moving towards the coast in autumn. The motive of the silver coin depicts polar lights in intense purple tones and a polar bear.
